Los Angeles, CA – A sober-living home for women in early recovery was just what one Los Angeles woman needed to succeed. She recently celebrated two and a half years of sobriety and was moved to leave the alcohol and drug rehab a 5-star review on Google.

“Muse was a stepping stone for me to start the kind of life I have always wanted!” Debbie M. wrote about Muse Treatment’s Sober Living for Women in Los Angeles.

Debbie came to Muse from another facility, where she had been in inpatient treatment for 14 months. “I was scared and nervous to take the next step in my journey,” she wrote. Fortunately, she chose to stay, and successfully completed the program. After two and a half years of sobriety, she was moved to write about her experience and recommend it to others struggling with addiction. See her experience by reading the blog article.

“I stayed there for five months before moving out on my own. I grew very close to the house manager and still stay closely connected to her and the community. She is caring and compassionate about her job and all her girls,” said Debbie.

The sober living program at Muse is designed to combat the disheartening fact that 40-60% of recovering addicts relapse after treatment. The homes provide important support during the transition from inpatient treatment to day-to-day life outside. Muse Treatment Center is known for its kind and compassionate care programs for addiction.

Sober-living homes are offered for men and women over age 18 who are in recovery from a variety of substance use disorders. Residents may also need help with simultaneous diagnoses such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder. The staff assesses residents at least once a week to identify problem areas and give positive feedback for goals being met. If needed, residents can be referred to a physician or mental health professional. Residents have weekly house meetings and undergo random urinalysis drug testing.

Amenities include televisions, a kitchen, and a laundry area. Each bedroom accommodates two or three residents. Muse’s dedicated staff makes the facility one of California’s No. 1 sober-living home. Residents like Debbie say it’s the caring and compassionate staff that make all the difference.

“Even though I now have a full life and busy schedule, I still come back to Muse to hang out with the advisors and to get to know the new girls that are early in recovery. Making the decision to move to Muse before moving out on my own was an effective way for me to transition.”
